Band Camp 2014: Earth, Wind & Fire (Full)

This a full run-through video of the UMass Drumline battery rehearsing our Earth, Wind & Fire Medley, part of our 2014 field show. The video was taken on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, in Grinnell Arena, on the UMass Amherst campus.

After several days at band camp, all sections of the UMass Drumline have learned and memorized the whole Earth, Wind & Fire Medley. This run-through provides the performers a chance to perform the piece in its entirety, recreating a performance. This run-through reenforces the music memorization and forces the performers to connect the dots between segments of the piece. It also provides a chance for the staff to measure  the performers’ progress and helps direct their planning of future rehearsal time.
