Our battery and pit spend most of the rehearsal day separately, working on their section’s needs. This allows each section to become comfortable with their music and performance independently, without relying on any other section.
In this video, the front ensemble (or “pit”) rehearses a segment of our percussion feature, without any involvement from the battery behind them. Thanks to Sally Johnson, UMass Drumline cymbal tech, for this video.
